Hacienda Limón, Ecuador, 62% Cacao, Dark Milk Chocolate with Nibs.
Made in Zurich. Single estate. Direct trade. Compostable bag. Organic Swiss milk. Hacienda Limón. 62% Cacao.
Two farms. One bar.
62% cacao milk chocolate with cacao nibs. Crunchy, with notes of malt, raisins, and a smooth caramel finish.
This chocolate is the meeting of two farms: the cacao mass comes from Hacienda Limón in Ecuador, and the nibs are from Fazenda Vera Cruz in Brazil. The nibs provide a fruity and crunchy touch that contrasts with the creaminess of the Ecuadorian milk chocolate. A duo of origins that blend very well in the mouth.
- Origin: Ecuador
- Predominant flavor note: Toasted

Hacienda Limón
Arriba cacao at the foot of the Andes
Near the Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador, almost 50 people work cultivating cacao on the 192 hectares of Hacienda Limón. Only Arriba cacao is grown here, a variety belonging to the Nacional cacao, native to Ecuador and threatened by more productive varieties.
The volcanic soil, rich in minerals, and the humid tropical climate create the ideal conditions for a delicately aromatic cacao. The German company 12Tree manages the hacienda and is working on the plantation's rehabilitation.
Profile: Balanced, with notes of dried fruit, malt and a hint of dried cherries.
- Variety: Nacional / Arriba
- Origin: Quevedo, Cotopaxi, Ecuador
- Producer: 12Tree
- Certification: 100% Organic
