Hacienda Limón, Ecuador, 56% Cacao, Dark Milk Chocolate.
Made in Zurich. Single estate. Direct trade. Compostable pouch. Organic Swiss milk. Hacienda Limón. 56% Cacao.
The bestseller from laflor. And for good reason.
56% cacao milk chocolate, made with organic Swiss whole milk. Elegant, with notes of caramel and delicate honey. The bestseller from laflor.
The cacao comes from Hacienda Limón, at the foot of the Andes in the Ecuadorian province of Cotopaxi, where the Nacional Arriba variety is grown: less productive than conventional varieties, but incomparably more aromatic. laflor adds certified organic Swiss whole milk powder, not skimmed as the industry generally does. That makes a difference in texture and flavor: creamy, intense in cacao, with a smooth caramel that lingers. No additives, no lecithin.
- Origin: Ecuador
- Predominant flavor note: Candy

Hacienda Limón
Arriba cacao at the foot of the Andes
Near the Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador, almost 50 people work cultivating cacao on the 192 hectares of Hacienda Limón. Only Arriba cacao is grown here, a variety belonging to the Nacional cacao, native to Ecuador and threatened by more productive varieties.
The volcanic soil, rich in minerals, and the humid tropical climate create the ideal conditions for a delicately aromatic cacao. The German company 12Tree manages the hacienda and is working on the plantation's rehabilitation.
