AMUCC Project
Association of Women Coffee Growers of Cauca
AMUCC is an association formed by women from different ethnic groups who live in particularly vulnerable rural areas of Colombia.
This project is an international benchmark in inclusive business and sustainability for generating decent and stable incomes for women coffee growers, promoting equal opportunities, economic independence, and a sense of belonging to the land.
It promotes organic agriculture that is respectful of the environment and biodiversity.
The project has the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, and has been promoted and presented in Spain with the backing of the Colombian Embassy in Spain and ProColombia, and has been presented as a success story in international forums such as:
• The United Nations (Seville Summit).
• The Latin America and Caribbean meeting in Santa Marta.
• The OECD.
