70% cacao drinking chocolate, with Peruvian chili and Guatemalan cardamom. A warm, spicy profile with a subtle fruity background.
The cacao comes from Fazenda Vera Cruz, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. An organic certified farm that practices agroforestry: cacao grows alongside acai, vanilla, pepper, cloves, and guarana, not in monoculture. This diversity is noticeable in the aroma.
To prepare: one heaped tablespoon (15g) per 100ml of liquid. Best in a milk frother, although with water the taste is purer.

Atlantic Forest in your cup
Fazenda Vera Cruz, in Bahia, Brazil, is run by Swiss couple Roland Müller and Jennifer Tibbaut. It is part of the Cabruca cooperative, dedicated to organic and agroforestry production with the aim of preserving the Atlantic Forest. Here, "Cacao Superior de Bahía" is grown, an indigenous variety from the region.
On the farm, in addition to cacao, açaí, vanilla, pepper, cloves, and guaraná also grow. The diversity of plants creates a truly productive forest. 22 of the 42 hectares of cacao are part of a protected natural area.
Profile: Fresh, slightly acidic, with subtle raisin notes.
